Designing a brand logo
Using this, I am much more prepared to begin constructing initial ideas for my brand logo. This will help me nail down my media identity and make it look as professional as possible.
Here, these are my initial ideas for the logo as I want the logo to be simplistic but effective in captivating whoever sees the logo. The colour pallet will need severe changes with the drafts of the logo as they were some of the only colours I had available to me at the time. This helps me visualise what I want my brand identity to be.
Here, this is the first draft of my logo that I did on photo shop, I used the brush tool to get the black line effect on the side although I plan on improving it. I also decided to use a bright purple to contrast the monotone logo, although I do plan on changing the colours.
I decided to experiment and try a few different styles of a logo. Through the 4 different attempts of experimentation (including trying to put my YouTube logo over the top) I went with this idea as a logo which I found to be way more visually appealing and more like a professional logo which summarises a few of my characteristics. Thus, I decided that I would gather some feedback with this logo as I would like to keep a similar style to this in future iterations of the logo for my personal branding including Instagram.
Here, I kept the same style however I tried more brighter colours to try and make the branding more clear and to make it even more visually appealing and striking to someone if they saw it. This will give me more of a chance to stand out in the media industry. This will be my primary logo for my TikTok account as the brighter colours will work with the younger demographic. I have done this as a circle due to the fact that most social media platforms are based in a circular format.
